Technical Consultant

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Management, Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.

JOB SUMMARY:

Ensures new and existing ACI customers receive a first class delivery service in accordance with customer expectations and contractual agreements. Primarily responsible for the identification/development of solutions for customers using company products, outsourced solutions and/or proprietary tools/techniques implemented by others. Defines customer needs and develops a plan and proposal for delivery of the project. Viewed by customers as a consultant. Performance is typically evaluated based on utilization, (i.e. billable hours).

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Analyzes client’s business needs and recommends appropriate information technology solutions utilizing ACI’s methodologies. Conducts analysis of corporate objectives, business functions and processes. Has limited technical expertise in one or several business or industry specializations.

Works with others on the project delivery team to solve product related issues and recommend workaround solutions. Communicates with Technical Consultants and project managers on a regular basis providing status updates and any other information relevant to the ACI business.

Supports the regional/product’s business development and sales support efforts for a particular territory, industry or account.

Assists customer with their implementation efforts as necessary to ensure successful product adoption.

Assists in taking appropriate action for possible mitigation actions and or contingencies. Must learn to identify information needed to clarify a risk or business situation, seeking that information from appropriate sources and use skillful questioning to draw out the information.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Project Management: As an associate technical resource, performs a variety of duties involved with supporting strategic and/or multiple projects.

Work with others on the project delivery team to solve product related issues and recommend workaround solutions.

Communicate with Technical Consultants and project managers on a regular basis providing status updates and any other information relevant to the ACI business.

Assist the customer with their testing efforts as necessary to insure efficient, accurate and meaningful testing occurs.

Take active and hands-on participation in all project tasks including analysis, design, configuration, coding, testing and implementation, and at the same time ensuring the ACI Professional Services procedures are adhered to.

Monitor quality of customer specific software.

Follow all ACI Professional Services guidelines and standards during project.

Business Development/ Sales Support: Supports the regional/product’s business development and sales support efforts for a particular territory, industry or account.

Works with more senior Technical Consultants to identify new business opportunities.

Participates in meetings with prospective, current and former clients describing and defining ACI’s services particularly as they relate to area of specialty.

Assists with detailed presentations to extend existing, develop additional and create new client contracts.

Provide customer-based, real world critique and input to software designers and product managers.

Technical/Business Skills: A Technical Consultant in training towards one or more technical disciplines, unique applications, or particular industry(s). Work to become proficient in one or more of ACI’s methodologies or service offerings such as ISM, PDM, ESP/BAU, Fraud Risk Management Optimization, Advanced Payment Solutions, Database Management, etc. Must have advanced knowledge and training in ACI’s software development method (PDM). Working to become proficient in one or more technical areas such as payment architecture, ACI product architecture, ACI product

configuration & operational architecture, global payment network architecture, network architecture or database architecture. Possesses global business and information technology knowledge. Demonstrates ability to write and present proposals and make presentations to clients. Must have a strong understanding of the relationship between ACI and its clients.

Have beginner technical knowledge and understanding of product set and business knowledge.

Assist customer with their implementation efforts as necessary to ensure successful product adoption.

Have beginner technical knowledge of 3rd-party integration.

Must learn to anticipate the implications and consequences of risks or business situations and take appropriate action to prepare for possible mitigation actions and or contingencies. Must learn to identify information needed to clarify a risk or business situation, seeking that information from appropriate sources and use skillful questioning to draw out the information.

Assists with recovery efforts on at-risk implementation projects.

Provide timely response to all customer questions and issues.

Works independently from broad guidelines in consultation with ACI management to achieve specific results. Supports projects and balances competing demands in an environment with rapidly changing circumstances and priorities. Responsible for meeting project schedules and deadlines and apprises management of progress.
